Established in 1984, ICP is held every two years in the world, with members from more than 70 countries and regions, and has gradually developed into the largest international restorative dentistry conference in the field of global stomatology with the widest academic influence. 2019 Shanghai successfully bid for the first time to host the International Congress of Restorative Dentistry, which was postponed due to an epidemic in 2021, and finally held successfully in Shanghai in 2023 after unremitting efforts. This ICP Congress was held for 4 days, with the theme of "Innovation and Trends in Prosthetic Dentistry", 40 guests from home and abroad gave invited or keynote speeches, and nearly 200 scholars gave oral reports and poster presentations. Oral reports and poster presentations were made by nearly 200 scholars, with a total of 2,200 offline participants and more than 120,000 online viewers, making it a high-level academic feast. Zhao Irimin, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, gave an invited speech on the topic of "Development and Clinical Application of Dental Implant Surgical Robot", introducing the development status, classification and advantages of implant surgical robots, demonstrating the clinical cases of implant robots applied by his team in recent years, and looking forward to the future of surgical robots. With the title of "Digital technology and regenerative medicine create a new era of oral restoration", President Jiang Xinquan summarised the history and application of digital technology and oral restoration, introduced the cutting-edge achievements in the field of oral regenerative restoration, and demonstrated the breakthroughs made by his team in recent years. Prof Jiang Xinquan said that this ICP congress held in Shanghai is a great opportunity for Chinese restorative dentistry to further go global and lead the world. We are looking forward to establishing more academic cooperation and communication with international famous experts and scholars in stomatology through this congress, and working together with colleagues from all over the country and the world to scale new heights in the field of stomatology.
